Brain Injury Services
Traumatic brain injury is the leading cause of disability and death for young people in the United States. Each year it alters the lives of 5,000 Mainers and their families. When brain injury results from an accident, stroke, brain tumor, the healing process is quite different than that of other physical injuries.

man walking on treadmill Survivors leave the hospital facing tough challenges-loss of memory and organizational skill, difficulties with social interaction and personality changes, physical limitations that may affect walking, balance and speech. For most, treatment in a therapeutic rehabilitation program can help meet this challenge with success.

Goodwill Industries of Northern New England's NeuroRehabilitation Services offers the most comprehensive, therapeutic programs in Maine. Community-based day treatment services delivered by a highly effective treatment team, a variety of residential options, excellent
functional outcomes and superior
client satisfaction are hallmarks of
our programs.

Goodwill's NeuroRehabilitation services were all developed in conjunction with survivors and their families, as well as with input from the Brain Injury Association of Maine and the Maine State Department of Human Services.
